Consideration makes paths wide
Please note that in our region you often cycle on agricultural paths. You are warmly welcome on these paths, but they are of course also used by farmers with their vehicles to manage the land. Because of the width of the vehicles, these paths can sometimes become narrow. The paths remain wide enough if all users show mutual consideration and step aside when needed to give others space. Please note that large machines often cannot leave the paths. Therefore, as cyclists, please yield when it gets tight!
Thank you for your understanding and consideration for the people who have to work here!
Roadbook
From Seeshaupt to Iffeldorf
The route starts at the large parking lot in Seeshaupt. After a short stretch through the village, it quickly heads west out of the village. After a short distance on the district road, it leads into quiet countryside. The path alternates between forests and small hamlets, repeatedly offering wonderful views. Finally, the church tower of Iffeldorf can be seen from afar. Those who reach this point have the option to take the Water Fun route back to Seeshaupt shortly. Otherwise, it goes full of riding pleasure directly along the road to Iffeldorf.
From Iffeldorf to Penzberg
In Iffeldorf, the route leads through the village. The Osterseen invite for a rewarding break, whether for swimming, relaxing, or to strengthen yourself with food. The ride continues past the beautiful Heuwinkl chapel, which is also worth a detour. Then the path runs parallel to the railway tracks through alternating magnificent forest and moor landscapes.
From Penzberg to Seeshaupt
In Penzberg, the next rewarding destination awaits: the Hub chapel, Gut Hub, the barefoot path, and the inviting bathing lakes make a break an all-round experience. After passing the bathing lakes, the fairly busy Seeshaupt road must be crossed carefully. After a few meters, the edge of the village is reached, which leads directly into nature. Forest and meadows alternate. After the hamlet of Eitzenberg, the route passes directly by further bathing lakes with lawns and then leads into a forest section where the motorway is crossed. After the forest section, it goes over meadows, specifically over neatly mowed meadows of a golf course. Caution is advised for flying golf balls. After the golf course, long paths lead through moor and bog landscapes, magnificent forests, small idyllic hamlets like Sanimoor or Schechen directly back to Seeshaupt. In Seeshaupt, the route now follows the main road back to the starting point. Here it is advisable, despite being amazed by the magnificent view of the magnificent Lake Starnberg and the majestic villas on the immediate shore, not to lose sight of the road traffic.
