Consideration makes paths wide
Please note that you often cycle on agricultural paths in our region. You are warmly welcome on these paths; however, they are naturally also used by farmers with their vehicles for managing the fields. Due to the width of the vehicles, the paths can sometimes become narrow. The paths remain wide enough if all users show mutual consideration and step aside when necessary to give way to others. Please be aware that large machines often cannot leave the paths to drive off them. Therefore, as cyclists, please give way when it gets tight!
Thank you very much for your understanding and consideration for the people who have to work here!
Roadbook
From Seeshaupt to Iffeldorf
The route starts at the large parking lot in Seeshaupt. After a short stretch through the town, it quickly leads westward out of town. After a short distance on the district road, the route enters quiet surroundings. The path alternates through forests and small hamlets, offering wonderful views again and again. In the distance, the church steeple of Iffeldorf can be seen. Shortly before the town entrance, the path turns left back into a forest. A detour into the town is recommended, which houses the small gem of the Heuwinkl chapel. A swim break is just as inviting there as a refreshment stop.
From Iffeldorf to Seeshaupt
The route continues through a magical forest, which approaches the Osterseen lake meter by meter. Suddenly, you ride very close to the shore. Beautiful idyllic spots invite you to rest. The path is cozy through dense, friendly forest, the air richly soaked with the pure nature that surrounds you. The ride continues. The large Ostersee gradually disappears from view, the forest briefly opens and reveals the Lauterbacher Mill facility, a private clinic on the Ostersee. Afterwards, a wide path leads back to Seeshaupt through a large, spacious forest with tall and very old trees. Back in Seeshaupt, the route passes by the beautiful show garden in town, which is definitely worth a last pause before just a few meters beyond the show garden the parking lot and thus the starting point are reached.
