The Vils valley is car-free from the Gasthaus Vilstalsäge onwards and the cycle path runs idyllically along the babbling Vils. At the Alpe Kalbelehof, the narrow Vils valley opens up and from here cowbell jingling accompanies you across the alpine meadows to Wertach. The paths are consistently car-width and either gravelled or tarmacked. Opportunities to stop at the original alpine huts perfectly complement the nature experience.

    Roadbook

From the Trendsportzentrum, turn right onto the Schlosspark cycling route towards Pfronten. In Pfronten-Röfleuten, leave this route by cycling straight ahead towards the Vils valley. Pass the Gasthof Vilstalsäge and continue straight along the Vils to the Alpe Kalbelehof, where you can already take the first break. You reach the Tannheimer Tal shortly before Schattwald, where you turn sharply right onto the Allgäu cycling route towards Unterjoch/Wertach. You can follow the Allgäu cycling route back to Nesselwang. After Unterjoch, you pass the two Sorg alp huts, come past the Jungholz campsite to Wertach, and then soon reach Nesselwang. In the town, follow the signs towards Pfronten to return to the Trendsportzentrum.
