Today's trip starts in Třeboň; after touring the historic center, you will head along the dam of the Opatovický pond through Domanín to Kojákovice and then to Chlum u Třeboně. You will cross the dam of the Hejtman pond and go straight along the Way of the Cross past the church into the town center. Here you can refresh yourself before heading to Lutová, from there to Žíteč towards Libořezy, where right at the village edge you turn left to Mníšek. After exploring the village green and church, you will head north along an unmarked local road past the Mníšek guesthouse. After 1 km, you connect to a local road following the Třeboňsko Protected Landscape Area boundary. After another 500 meters (just past the hamlet of Prohánidla) at a "Y" junction, turn left to the southern edge of the town Stráž nad Nežárkou, where you can visit the E. Destinová chateau and museum. Continue along the Nežárka bike path marked with a blue logo to Jemčina and Novosedly nad Nežárkou to Hodějov pond, then to Stará Hlína and from there via Nová Hlína back to the train station in Třeboň.

    Roadbook

From Třeboň, follow cycle route CT1034 along the dam of Opatovický pond through Domanín to Kojákovice, where a left turn takes you onto CT1212 and then to Hrachoviště. Four kilometers past the village of Cep, join CT122, which leads you to Chlum u Třeboně. Cross the dam of Hejtman pond and proceed straight along the Way of the Cross past the church to the town center. Here take CT1011 to Lutová, from there CT1010 to Žíteč. Half a kilometer from Žíteč, CT1010 diverts left, but you continue straight on the road towards Libořezy, where at the village entrance you turn left to Mníšek. Head north on an unmarked local road past Penzion Mníšek, then after 1 km join the local road running along the boundary of the Třeboňsko Protected Landscape Area. After another 500 meters (past the hamlet Prohánidla - a cluster of buildings on the right), turn left at the "Y" junction and continue north following the boundary of the Protected Landscape Area to the southern edge of Stráž nad Nežárkou. There, go under the busy international E551 road. Immediately after the underpass, turn right onto a subtle footpath crossing a small stream, then on a poor asphalt road, turn left onto Chlumecká street that leads to the E. Destinová chateau and museum. Continue along the Nežárka cycle path marked with a blue logo to Jemčina, then on CT1034 (initially coinciding with CC Nežárka), and on CT1170 to Novosedly nad Nežárkou. From Novosedly, take CT GW Rožmberského dědictví south to Hodějov pond, where CT turns right before the dam and you continue straight on CT1035 to Stará Hlína. Carefully turn right here to join the E551 road traffic, which has a wide shoulder. After about half a kilometer, turn right from E551 onto a path along the dam of Vítek pond. This path, coinciding with the Okolo Třeboně educational trail, leads to Nová Hlína and from there along and through forest and over the dams of three ponds. On the Okolo Třeboně trail, you safely pass over E551 by an overpass and continue through Vodárenská street to a crossroad. Turn right onto Dukelská street leading to the journey’s finish at the Třeboň lázně train station. The route is 65 km long, easy, and suitable for trekking bikes.
