Triftern 1

The route starts at the recreational facility in Triftern and first takes us along the Altbachweg to Lengsham. Here, a visit to the St.-Koloman chapel is recommended. Then it goes steeply uphill on the cobblestone street immediately after Lengsham. Once in Numberg, you have a wonderful view of Pfarrkirchen. It goes nature-friendly through the forest towards Thannöd. Then it continues with ups and downs via Unterreitzing and Oberhitzling to Ruhmannsaigen. After a short stretch on state road 2110, we turn right and follow the signposting to Wiesing. From there it continues downhill via Ecking and Pelkering into the Dreimühlental. After a few hundred meters it goes uphill again to Garham, then via Bärnsham to Osten. Shortly after Osten, we follow the signposts to the Kaser-Steinstube (a natural monument worth seeing). Here we follow the forest path and then arrive in Unterpaikertsham. From there, it goes via Oberpaikertsham on a cobblestone street and a field path to Irlham (partly again with magnificent views). Then it goes rapidly downhill along the Eschbach to the state road. We follow this to Nuppling and turn right there. After a few hundred meters, after the bridge, a cobblestone road leads left up along a forest to Hochreith. There we follow the signposts to the Pestfriedhof. Here you have a splendid view of Triftern. Through the marketplace with its fountain and the Marian column we return to the starting point. In good weather, a visit to the free outdoor pool is worthwhile afterwards.
