Gebietsgemeinschaft Grünes Binnenland e.V.
This easy and not too long route leads you through the flat landscape of the Eggebek administrative district into Eggebek, along the Arche Park and through Langstedt, through the Büschauer Holz forest, past Sollerup and Süderhackstedt back to Kleinjörl. The MarktTreff and the church in Kleinjörl are good starting points. Since it is a circular route, you can start anywhere you like. The route takes you through extensive forest areas, meadows, and fields. You will repeatedly come close to the Treene, which gives this route its name.

The Büschauer Holz is a beautiful forest, one not often found in South Schleswig.
The St. Katharinen Church in Kleinjörl: The widely visible church in Kleinjörl presents a beautiful and striking contrast to the surrounding green meadows with its white exterior. From the outside, the church appears as a rather plain late Gothic brick building. Inside, however, the full beauty of this church is revealed: five colorful paintings on the north gallery show scenes from the life of Christ. Among the oldest furnishings is a triumph group made of oak from the third third of the 13th century. To the right is a beautifully carved pulpit. Visitors should also take a closer look at the altar from 1773. Above the Rococo structure with columns and the painting of the crucifixion, there is a depiction of a sun in which the Hebrew letters of God's proper name (Yahweh) are incorporated.
MarktTreff Jörl: The MarktTreff in Kleinjörl offers the people of the Jörl area not only reliable basic supplies but also a delivery service, an e-charging station, and a meeting place with a small info point for tourists. Anyone wanting coffee and a piece of cake or a small chat is warmly welcome at MarktTreff.
Langstedt Canoe Launch: The Eider-Treene-Sorge river landscape is one of the most beautiful canoeing areas in Germany. The Treene in particular is very popular among canoeists. Up to Treia, the Treene is the only original, untouched river by water engineers in Schleswig-Holstein. From Langstedt onwards, it may be used for canoe tourism, resulting in lively activity at the launch site.
The Büschauer Holz: The approximately 300-hectare Büschauer Holz was mostly heathland at the beginning of the 19th century, later afforested with conifers. Accordingly, there is a high proportion of conifer forest in the Büschauer Holz. Oaks and sand birches from natural regeneration and site-appropriate reforestation also occur. The forest is crossed in its central area by the Büschau stream, which rises in the Jalmer Moor and forms fallow wet grassland in its valley basin. In the area of Büschaus, there are some largely intact transition moors.
Hünning – Canoe Launch and More: Hünning is well known among canoeists—as an entry and exit point and as an ideal place to stay overnight during a multi-day canoeing trip. The direct location on the Treene shapes the image and atmosphere of this quaint place.

If you start in Großjörlfeld, you can perfectly combine the Jörl route to reach Kleinjörl. From Kleinjörl, you ride to Jerrisbek (a few scattered farms), then past the Arche Park and the old airfield to Eggebek. Continuing from there, you pass through Langstedt and then enter the large Büschauer Holz forest. Through Hünning, you come directly to Sollerup after crossing the Treene. In Sollerupmühle, you ride over the mill grounds and along the country road to Süderhackstedt. However, you immediately head out again through the fields until you return to Kleinjörl at Schmiedekrug.
The route mainly runs on little-frequented side roads or farm tracks. Main roads are avoided as much as possible.

As everywhere in Schleswig-Holstein, the weather can change very suddenly, especially near the coast. Therefore, we recommend wind- and rainproof clothing. To escape the relentless summer sun, it is also best to bring a head covering.Localization
