Start/Finish: Train station in Schopp
The cycle path "Tour de Sud" is a circular route of the Kaiserslautern South municipal association. The cycling route through the towns of Schopp, Trippstadt, Stelzenberg, Queidersbach, Linden, and Krickelbach is very varied, but unfortunately very poorly signposted. The circuit includes some steep climbs but offers several wonderful panoramic views over the Palatinate Forest. In addition, it goes through two scenic valleys: on the one hand the Karlstal with its narrow gorges, and on the other hand the Schweinstal with a sculpture trail.

Directions:
The start is the train station in Schopp. First, cycle uphill into the town and turn into Friedhofsstraße towards the racetrack in the town center. On this initially paved, later gravel road, you ride until a junction where you turn left. This brings you to the L500 country road at the turnoff to Stelzenberg. You then go through the Karlstal valley to the Kottelbachtal turnoff. Here you turn left and pass the Sägmühle campsite towards Trippstadt. In Trippstadt, cross the main road and directly after the Sparkasse, take a small alley. You reach the Trippstadt swimming pool. At the pool, turn right uphill to the country road leading to Stelzenbach/Kaiserslautern. The cycle path continues at the roundabout on traffic-calmed streets and forest paths via Langensohl to Stelzenberg. At Stelzenberg's main road, cycle downhill back into the Karlstal, stay on the country road until the federal road, cross it, and turn right on the opposite side into the Schweinstal. The Schweinstal now gently climbs and leads to L472. Here you meet the signed Palatinate Forest cycle path, which you follow via Queidersbach to Linden. Now comes the steepest ascent of this route. In Linden town center, head towards Krickelbach and after 120 meters turn right over the street near Junkerkopf, off the main road, steeply uphill to Krickelbach. The remainder of the route to Krickelbach can only be cycled on the main road. At the end of Krickelbach, it finally goes downhill back to the starting point Schopp.
