Theme tour: Weitblick Tour

Heading south and all the way to Schnaitsee in the district of Traunstein is the Weitblicktour, which promises magnificent views of the Alps. The start is in Kraiburg on the Inn, whose medieval charm tells of a fascinating history. In Taufkirchen, which once had the nickname "before the forest," the parish church of St. Jakobus is worth seeing. The 158-meter-high television tower in Schnaitsee shows the way. A somewhat smaller wooden lookout tower can be climbed and offers a fantastic panoramic view from the Großer Arber in the Bavarian Forest in the east to the Säuling in the Allgäu Alps far to the west. For a cool down, the Weitsee near Schnaitsee is ideal. Via Waldhausen and Jettenbach, it goes back to Kraiburg.
