The Squeaker Route

Among picturesque wine-growing hills, castles and cottages, you'll reach Gad's Furnace - the cradle of excellent Dolenjska wines. You'll have views of the Krško polje, Bohor and the Brežice plain. From Klunovo Toplice in Bušeča vas, you return to the starting point along the flat area on the right bank of the Krka River, past Dobrava, Podbočje and Slivje. Don't forget the invigorating effects of the geographically protected origin of the Dolenjska champion, cviček, which you can enjoy in one of the local tavernas or in the authentic setting of a wine cellar with a local winemaker.
