The scenic route leads through mystical forests, past orchards and dreamy half-timbered houses. The efforts are rewarded with wonderful views.
On this route, hills must be climbed and views enjoyed. The round leads over the hill plateau between the rivers Würm and Nagold through the Pforzheim communities of Huchenfeld and Hohenwart, into the valley to Unterreichenbach, via Engelsbrand and Büchenbronn back to Pforzheim. Here, not only beautiful orchards and enchanting Black Forest await the cyclists but also the observation towers in Hohenwart and Büchenbronn, as well as wide views into the Nagold valley. Additionally, the highest point in Pforzheim is cycled to.
Fresh country air, Black Forest flair, and plenty of nature enjoyment are guaranteed.

Safety information
After Schellbronn, the route goes downhill for a very short distance on a country road. The forest road, on which the route continues, branches off from the country road just before a curve. Extreme caution is required when turning off here!
Otherwise, as always: a helmet and a well-maintained bike are good insurance. Please meet all others with caution and respect.

Roadbook
This bike route starts at the Pforzheim main station and initially follows the Eastern Height Cycle Path. Its signage can be followed. At Kupferhammer, it goes up a gravel forest road to the hill plateau between the rivers Würm and Nagold through the Pforzheim communities of Huchenfeld and Hohenwart. Here, not only beautiful orchards await, but also the Hohe Warte observation tower. Then it goes via Schellbronn down into the valley to Unterreichenbach. Here, a short stretch on a country road must be ridden. Just before a curve, it turns left onto a forest road. Extreme caution is required at this point! On the forest road to Unterreichenbach, you can then enjoy a wonderful view into the valley.
Upon arrival in Unterreichenbach, the charming half-timbered houses enchant passersby and give a touch of Black Forest atmosphere for the rest of the way. Through the forest, it goes up to the next hill to Salmbach and over Engelsbrand. In Büchenbronn, you pass the local observation tower, which surprises with a beautiful panoramic view. Afterwards, it continues through the quiet forest to Sonnenberg and back to the Pforzheim city center.

There are various options for car travel:
One option starts at Kupferhammer, where there are free hiking parking lots. In Huchenfeld, Hohenwart, Schellbronn, Unterreichenbach, Grunbach, Engelsbrand there are also parking options, as well as on Sonnenberg. It can be reached via Büchenbronner Straße. Coming from Pforzheim, the Wasserleitungsweg hiking parking lot is on the right.
Parking
At Kupferhammer in Pforzheim, at the Büchenbronn wildlife enclosure, and on Pforzheim's Sonnenberg, there are free hiking parking lots on both sides of Büchenbronner Straße near the Wasserleitungsweg. There is the Wasserleitungsweg hiking parking lot as well as a spacious parking lot opposite the Sonnenberg inn.
At Pforzheim main station, there are numerous car parks where cars can be parked for a fee.
