The route starts in the popular excursion spot Kollmar. The view of the wide Elbe and the large ships never gets boring.
Racing alongside the big ships, the route follows the Elbe to the Krückau. Here, the Krückau sluice offers another nice view of the Elbe before the route heads inland to the orchards. Upon reaching Neuendorf, the path takes you through the Kronsnest district, where you can discover the smallest ferry in Germany.
From here, you partly use agricultural tracks to race through the vegetable fields. Along the way, you will also find self-service shops offering fruit for sale directly from the fields - it doesn't get any fresher.
On the way back to the starting point, you still have the chance to discover the local pollard willows along the roadside. Before returning to Kollmar, the route leads you along a side road past rustic and well-maintained farmhouses to the well-deserved refreshment of your feet in the Elbe.

Equipment
In summer, due to the lack of trees in the marsh, light clothing is recommended. In the off-seasons the opposite is usually true, as the wind sweeps unimpeded across the land, making weatherproof clothing advisable.Localization
