Sulzberg Round

From the church, we start on the main street towards Durach. We leave Sulzberg across an idyllic plain and head towards Sulzberger Lake. Initially, we follow along the west side at some distance before turning right and in the village of See approaching the shore most closely.
To the left, we encounter the motorway, which accompanies us on the left for a short stretch. After passing under it, we reach Feuerschwenden, which offers picturesque houses and the remarkable Chapel of Mercy. Over a hill, we continue through beautiful flower fields towards Durach. There we keep straight ahead, briefly ride on the main street and immediately turn right into Oberhofer Street. Its route leads us over steeply rising switchbacks up to the castle estate, which we leave on the right. Beyond the motorway bridge, we continue straight.
After a gentle climb, we come to a fork in the road, which we leave to the right. After a short ride, we reach the Tobias forest inn, followed by a chapel with a small pond. On the ascent to Linggenberg, we choose the third path on the right towards Bodelsberg, which we reach after a demanding and winding descent.
We pass through the small village on the main street, cross the tracks and then ride a short stretch right on St2520. Shortly after, we turn left towards Moosbach. Behind Büchelesstein, we continue with the mountains on our left to the viewpoint "Auf’m Buch", which rewards the short climb with a fantastic Alpine panorama.
Just before Untergassen, we meet the country road again, which leads us over gentle hill ridges parallel to Rottach Lake to Moosbach. Further on, we head towards Albis, pass through Ottacker with its beautiful church and continue from there to Oberhub, where on our way to Burgratz we come closest to the Iller River. We turn right, pass the Sulzberg castle ruins, and finally return to Sulzberg.
