Sterzing round trip

Start at the railway station in Sterzing. Go under the tracks and follow the cycle path along the main road to Wiesen in the Pfitschtal valley. At the bus stop (opposite the cemetery) turn right and then into the second street on the left (approx. 80 m). Cross the bridge and follow the orographic left bank of the Pfitscherbach stream until you reach the Brennerstaatsstrasse below Sprechenstein Castle. Continue in the direction of Elzenbaum, cross the motorway and turn right before the Reifenstein castle. Follow the golf course until you reach the Penserjoch road. Cross the bridge and turn left onto the cycle path to Mareit. From there either take the same route or the parallel municipal road back. At the parish church turn left and then via Gänsbachstr. into the centre and on to the railway station.
