PURE CYCLING Büdingen lies within an extensive network of cycling and hiking trails. Through the Volcano cycling route (94 km; "Volcano Express" from Büdingen station), the Celtic cycling route (25 km circular route to the burial mound of the Celtic prince), the Limes-Ronneburg route (51 km loop), the Staufer route (56 km) or the Castle Route (88 km between Gelnhausen and Friedberg), Büdingen is a paradise for history-interested cyclists. Also nearby are the Limes cycling route, the Southern Railway cycling route, and the Hessian long-distance route R3 (Kinzig Valley cycling route).
