The route starts at the monk statue in Trappenkamp (Hermannstädter Str. / Segeberger Str.). We head toward Tarbek over the A 21 highway bridge.
At 83 meters, the Grimmelsberg is the highest point in the area. On the route to Alt-Erfrade, we pass the former mock-airport.
The route continues through the forest to the Tensfelder Moor, an intact raised bog with its characteristic flora and fauna. This is where the Tensfelder Au springs from. Passing through the town of Blunk, we cross the Blunker Bach, which also has its source here.
The area between Trappenkamp, Bornhöved, Tensfeld, and Rickling is Schleswig-Holstein’s largest watershed. Various streams originate here, their waters flowing into the North Sea or, via the Alte Schwale and the Trave, into the Baltic Sea.
From Pettlouis, the route continues to Daldorf. We ride through the forest, past the Trappenkamp Adventure Forest, and back to Trappenkamp.
Here you’ll find the forest swimming pool, restaurants, an ice cream parlor, the museum bunker, and the ErlebnisSchmiede.
