The route offers an incredible abundance of sights in the towns and municipalities of Bad Dürrheim, Villingen-Schwenningen, Brigachtal and Donaueschingen, as well as with the sources of the Neckar and Danube, the Neckar spring in the Schwenninger Moos and the Danube tributary Brigach.
1 At the Salinensee in Bad Dürrheim, you can relax your soul amid a beautiful landscape, feel the wind on your face during a boat ride, and let the sun warm your spirit.
2 The Neckar source in Schwenningen is located in the Möglingshöhe city park, which was completely redesigned as part of the 2010 State Garden Show. The spring also received a new source stone.
3 The nature reserve “Schwenninger Moos” with the Neckar spring is an exceptionally well-studied moor area on the European main watershed. Here, a few meters decide whether the raindrops flow via the Neckar and Rhine into the North Sea or via the Talbach, Brigach, and Danube into the Black Sea. The unique landscape has its own impressive charms at every time of day and year.

5 The scenically attractive valley along the Brigach connects the Villingen district with the city of Donaueschingen.
6 In Donaueschingen , the Princes of Fürstenberg have their residence with the Princely Fürstenberg Castle including its park grounds and the Princely Fürstenberg Collection . The Danube source lies in the castle park between the castle and St. Johann city church. The sculpture “Mother Baar shows the young Danube the way” to the Black Sea. Diagonally opposite the city church, directly in front of the “Bräustüble” is the Diana Fountain , designed personally by Emperor Wilhelm II. In 1908, a devastating fire raged in the city center of Donaueschingen, after which most buildings on Karlstraße and also the “Blue Town Hall” in Art Nouveau style were rebuilt. 7 Bad Dürrheim is known far and wide as Europe’s highest brine spa, a health resort with a healing climate, and a Kneipp spa with many highlights. Roadbook
Bad Dürrheim – Mühlhausen – Schwenningen – Villingen – Rietheim
• The route starts in Bad Dürrheim at the corner of "Luisen-/Bahnhofstraße". Go straight along "Friedrichstraße" to the roundabout, then turn right into "Willmannstraße". Pass the parking lot and at the fork turn left along the Salinensee.
• Go straight over the bridge, then right into the forest. Straight over the K5700 road and at the T-junction turn right over the creek. At the next four-way junction turn left and follow the "Wittmannstalweg".
Go straight through the underpass and at km 5.4 cross left over the bridge B523. Follow the paved path straight ahead, soon downhill towards L173. Follow this left downhill to Mühlhausen. At the height of the church turn left into "Richard-Müller-Straße" and first through the residential area, then along the forest edge and straight downhill follow B7. At the underpass turn left, along the tracks, into the gravel path and up into the street leading into Schwenningen. Go straight and at the bridge turn left uphill along the cemetery. At the church turn left into "Reutestraße", then left into "Kornbindstraße" and through the 2010 State Garden Show grounds.
• Right to the railway tracks, then left on the cycle path along the tracks to the Zollhaus station. From there straight on the "Zollhäusleweg" to Villingen and into the city on the street "Beim Hohen Stein". Left through the park, then over the bridge to the train station, from there towards the city center and on the cycle path along the city wall turn left towards Brigachtal. At the end of the city wall turn left across the crossing and on "Warenburgstraße" out of town.
• Slightly right into "Rietheimer Straße" and at its end slightly right, briefly uphill, onto the farm road towards Rietheim.
Rietheim – Brigachtal – Grüningen – Donaueschingen – Aasen – Bad Dürrheim
• In the town center, turn left to the main road and then right on this road. Straight past the fire station. Over the hump, then straight across the Brigach and before the tracks turn right, along them, follow the Brigachtalweg past Brigach and Grüningen to Donaueschingen. There, past the train station, at the roundabout turn left and through the town.
At the city church, turn left to Karlstraße and follow to the Blue Town Hall. Continue on Lehenstraße to the roundabout, then right into Schulstraße and immediately left into Spitalstraße. Then turn left into Moltkestraße and then right into Humboldtstraße.
• Past the school center, straight over the roundabout, before the industrial area go slightly right, over the bridge (cross B 27) and follow the paved path to Aasen. There turn left on the main street into the village and straight at the slight bend in the priority road past the church to the cemetery. Then slightly right uphill. Downhill to the underpass and directly after the underpass turn right.
• Follow the paved path straight past the farm. Straight through the next underpass and past the golf course to Bad Dürrheim. On the main street turn left back to the starting point.
