on the Url and the Ybbs.
Bike route according to the "old" bike path signage from MostviertelTourismus.
On bike path 13 from Mauer to Krenstetten,
on path 136 to Straß,
on path 1 to Biberbach,
on path 153 to Brand,
then on path 15 to Kematen,
on path 14 through Kematen,
on path 1 to Kröllendorf,
on path 14 to Hausmening
and finally on path 153 back to Mauer.
The corresponding signs (which surely did not cost little) have been removed.
Maybe you still have the old MostRadCard, which makes navigation easier.
Author’s recommendation
Ask at the municipal office why the good old signage had to be removed.

Roadbook
0.0/0.0 From the Mauer-Öhling train stop, take the lift down to street level.
There turn right, towards the first roundabout in Mauer.
3.5/3.5 Take the third exit and immediately (after the parking lot) turn left into Zellerstraße up to the noise barrier of the railway.
Now turn right and follow the railway side path towards Aschbach.
After 800 m cross a priority road, after 1.7 km go under the railway.
Immediately after that cross the Url and ride along the railway (another priority road is crossed) to Neubrunnmühle.
1.5/5.0 Continuing left is not possible, so we go under the railway.
Immediately after that, after a house, turn sharply left and continue (right) along the railway.
At km 4.7 cross the street Unterer Markt and cycle (still right near the railway) to Aschbach train station.
3.4/8.4 Another 500 m right of the railway, then right, after 100 m left, after another 100 m turn left.
We are now near the intersection of B 121 with L 84 (motorway feeder to Oed).
Here we want to cross the railway and continue left of the railway.
The bike path routing here is complicated, so I have marked it on a separate picture (No. 5).
Incomprehensibly, the helpful bike path signs have been dismantled here.
We are now back on the railway side path, but left (south) of the railway. We ride this until the next railway underpass.
1.1/9.5 Shortly after the underpass, turn left on a small footbridge crossing the Url.
Then on a gravel path left, next to the railway 300 m, then right to the Url and along it until the hiking trail reaches an asphalt road between Krenstetten and Biberbach.
If you want to "take in" Krenstetten to visit the noteworthy church, do not cross the Url at the footbridge, but go straight ahead.
A short uphill, then level left to Krenstetten.
In Krenstetten 100 m west of the church on Diemelstraße southbound, shortly after the Url bridge the routes meet again.
4.3/13.8 We are now on the signed Herz-Mostviertel bike route, which we follow to Biberbach.
We go under the railway, turn left onto B 122, after 200 m turn right, slightly uphill via Pötzlöd to the bike path crossing at Straßbauer.
Continue right into the center of Biberbach.
2.0/15.8 In Biberbach we cycle 100 m south, then turn left into the settlement on the hill, here there is a 1.5 km long uphill section. Get off once here and look back at Biberbach and the surrounding villages.
The steepness eases soon and we come to an intersection near Linsberg.
2.3/18.1 Here we meet the signed Stiftsblick bike route.
We turn left and cycle south of Einfaltsberg again briefly uphill and are rewarded with a wonderful view of Kematen, Rosenau, Sonntagberg ... for our efforts.
At the next intersection continue straight, leaving Galgenbühel on the right (or briefly climb up to the chapel).
It goes gently downhill along the ridge to Rechtlehen (chapel).
5.5/23.6 The Stiftsblick bike route continues straight, we turn right and ride downhill to the Mondi paper factory in Kematen.
There we meet the Ybbstal bike path.
On this through Kematen (mostly runs on the sidewalk), at the roundabout we follow the Ybbstal bike path over the Ybbs and to Kröllendorf.
4.0/27.6 Further on the Ybbstal bike path to Wallmersdorf.
Here the bike path goes left into the fields, you can also continue on the main road to Hausmening.
1.7/29.3 In Hausmening follow the signs and descend via Dorfstraße to Bahnhofstraße.
Continue to the main road, then another 800 m on the Ybbstal bike path, then switch to the Mostbaron bike route.
3.1/32.4 Cross the Ybbs at the Ybbs bridge, through the Neufurth settlement, then through the heath, go under B 121 and along the Klinikum forest to Mauer.
300 m after the Jugendstil buildings of the clinic we reach our starting point, the Mauer-Öhling train station.
