From the alpine town of Bad Reichenhall, the first stage of the Slowbike route leads to Oberndorf: The start of the e-bike route runs initially flat along the picturesque Saalach riverside, up to the Högl and further over the hilly Surspeicher. There is guaranteed something for everyone here!
Stage 2: Oberndorf – Mattsee
Across meadows, forests and the fields of the Salzburg Alpine foothills, the 2nd stage leads from Oberndorf to Mattsee: on a partly very steep section up the Haßberg, the e-bikes are especially helpful.
Stage 3: Mattsee – Salzburg including Buchberg
From Mattsee to Salzburg: after a climb up the Buchberg, the route continues along the track of the former Ischlerbahn, a popular cycling and walking path for pedestrians, cyclists and inline skaters.
Stage 4: Salzburg – Bad Reichenhall including Gaisberg
From baroque Salzburg, this stage returns to Bad Reichenhall: Along the Salzach riverside, the bike path leads up to the Gaisberg. Passing viewpoints, sights and places to rest, you finally arrive back at the route start!
