Safety information
For example, between Lisbon and Porto, the infrastructure is not yet well developed. The stages from one accommodation to the next can accordingly be long and adventurous.Roadbook
From Mank you ride over field paths to Kettenreith, then on the road to the "Wetterluckn". Once at the top, go immediately to the left and climb a few meters up to the "Oacha". The last part of it runs over a steep meadow. After the climb, you deserve a break with a wonderful view over the wide area.
NOTE: you can also skip the Oacha if you don't want to ride on a meadow or prefer to walk the short part.
Then continue to the Roman spring, where a small refreshment is possible. From here you briefly ride back and then further east, where after 2-3 km you reach the source of the Sierning River. However, it is not easy to find because you have to go into the forest on foot.
Now it goes quickly down to Petersberg and Freyen to Kilb along the creek. Partly you ride on the old railway track "Krumpe" to Bischofstetten. There you turn left onto the side road to Sankt Margarethen. In the village, there are places to eat in the cultural cafe or community room.
After a refreshment, you continue along the Sierning to the confluence of the Sierning into the Pielach near Haunoldstein. You have thus accompanied the river course of the Sierning for a length of km.
Now it goes from the district St. Pölten Land through the municipality of Hürm past Groß Sierning, Oberradl, Hainberg, Langholz over asphalt and gravel paths back to Mank to the starting point.
