From Villabassa, Dobbiaco or San Candido: the Drava cycle path to Maribor (SLO), with a length of over 350 km, is something for everyone who wants to enjoy the landscape, people and culinary delights on two wheels. The part up to Lienz is described here.
Starting from the railway station in Villabassa or Dobbiaco or San Candido, follow the signposted cycle path in the direction of East Tyrol. The tour described here runs all the way to Lienz. This route of just over 50 km is relatively easy for families, as the return journey is made by train. The route from Villabassa to Lienz is easy and runs mostly slightly downhill.
