Tourist-Information Saarlouis
The tour starts in the Mühlenthal recreation area in Elm with numerous parking options. After a leisurely ride, we reach the pond complex with its managed fisher's hut. On the following section, expansive views open up before we pass the Celtic graves from the 5th century AD at "Sauwasen" after a while. After a challenging ascent to the Krickelsberg observation tower, with a wonderful view over the surrounding region, the route continues along the Roman road towards Schwalbach. We pass the forest chapel with its mosaic way of the cross and arrive at the Hülzweiler open-air stage. Located in the middle of the forest, it is considered one of the most beautiful natural stages in Southwest Germany. The journey continues through the woods past the forest lake to the Laurentius chapel, a much-visited pilgrimage site. On the last stretch, the tour passes near the Mary Grotto and ends after a last ascent to the "Derler Alps" in Elmer Mühlenthal.
