At the exit of Primsweiler, you reach the junction of the future Primstal cycle path at Böschwald, which leads us towards Schmelz. The Schmelzer Round now follows the course of the regional cycle path 'In the Middle of Saarland.' On well-developed forest roads, the path runs along the forest educational trail, initially heading east and then turning slightly uphill to the north at a rest area. At the busy hiking car park, we encounter the B 268. On the opposite side of the road, we continue our round on a developed cycle path. At the junction of the L 334, we now leave the 'In the Middle of Saarland' round route and continue to follow the cycle path towards Schmelz. At the 'Rennstraße,' we leave this path as our route describes a curve to the north on an agricultural field path. In the area of the exposed Friesenhof, we are offered beautiful views of the surroundings. It continues on the well-developed agricultural field road until it joins the L 333 at Gresaubach near Dionshof. After crossing the L 334, the round route leads us on a flat stretch along the country road further north. Shortly afterwards, we cycle over the Stachelsberg and then roll towards the town of Limbach. In the town center, we orient ourselves on the Saar-Bostalsee cycle path to the west. At the end of the village street, the L 145 must be crossed. On a flat stretch, the route now follows the L 333 towards Büschfeld. In the town center, we follow the Saar-Hunsrück cycle path. The Schmelzer Round now crosses the Prims bridge and turns west via the Nunkircher street into the floodplain of the Losheimer Bach. Near Überlosheim, we pass the Losheimer Bach and head towards Nunkirchen. There we finally continue on the Saar-Bostalsee cycle path. Now it goes back to the Losheimer Bach. Near the tree nursery, we cross the stream and then follow the Saar circular cycle path. Shortly afterwards, our path leads further west and ascends through the terrain of a fallow deer breeder. Over a well-developed network of field paths, we finally pass the Weiherhof golf course. Through a wooded area, it continues on partly worn forest roads on an ascending track. Then it becomes flatter again. At the edge of Michelbach, directly on the route, there is a small festival place with a shelter hut. At the shelter hut, our path turns west, crosses a small valley, and soon leads to Geisweilerhof. The adjoining pond system invites you to linger in good weather. Afterwards, we cycle along the pond facility and then turn left into the forest. At the height of Lückners, the path now turns south. Shortly afterwards, we leave the forest and reach an intensively farmed plateau. The following section is popular with both hikers and cyclists due to its beautiful distant views and quiet location away from main traffic routes. From the small car park at the crest, the path again leads over paved field paths and past the farms Konnegenhof and Goesberger Hof to Gischberg. The following section runs, with a beautiful view towards Hüttersdorf, through meadows and fields right up to the edge of the village of Hüttersdorf. In a curve, we now bypass the nature reserve 'Engelgrund' and reach the junction to the detour through the Hüttersdorf-Bupri forest. In Engelgrund, the romantic pond system invites you to linger. On the following section, we pass through the village of Hüttersdorf with shopping and dining options in the village center. There is also a bike repair shop for minor repairs or spare parts. In the area of the Prims bridge, we finally follow the Primstal cycle path again. In the district of Primsweiler, we finally reach our starting point of the Schmelzer Round again at the sports field.
