Scenic discovery route through Hamburg's moors
On this route, you should definitely not forget the camera! It is suitable both in bright sunshine and in fog, as the moors have a unique effect in any mood. Only after prolonged rainfalls do the areas become very muddy, reducing the fun of riding.
We start our bike ride from Kronstieg directly at the entrance of the youth park (1) and immediately enter the lush green of the beautifully landscaped park. The path leads close to the federal road, which we continue to follow on the paved Holtkoppel. Via Rüümk and Kniep, we reach the footpath fenced on both sides, which leads us directly to the runway of Hamburg airport (2). Anyone who has always wanted to see a landing plane from below is at the right place here! At the fork, we keep left, cross Langenhorner Chaussee, turn left again into Moorreye, and at the end of the street choose the hiking trail on the right. Along the Raakmoorgraben, we pass through the nature reserve of the same name (3), which has been pushed to the brink of existence by peat mining in the 21st century. On Hohe Liedt/Hattsmoor street, we turn right twice and then left into Dweermoor. After crossing Glashütter Landstraße, we take the next left turn, follow the path past the beautifully situated
