Varied bike route through Saarland and the Palatinate over 40 km with start and finish in Zweibrücken.
The bike tour covers 40 km into the neighboring Saarland and back on the Palatinate side. The start of the route is in Zweibrücken. From there, it goes through Einöd to Wörschweiler. Here, the Roman Museum and the Wörschweiler Monastery ruins invite discovery. Along the Lambsbach, the tour continues to Kirrberg and then past the Merburg castle ruins to Bechhofen. From there, the cycle path leads back to Zweibrücken on the Palatinate side along the Bundenbach and Auerbach.
ATTENTION! - Campaign for considerate coexistence in nature
• Be considerate on the move - Always behave prudently, kindly, and considerately toward everyone you meet en route. This applies especially on service roads where winemakers, farmers, and foresters also work on weekends.
• Picnic & waste - Remember a garbage bag for the way and take your rubbish back home. Use only the furnished rest areas for breaks and picnics.
• Nature conservation - Stay on the marked paths and avoid unnecessary noise when you are out in nature. Leave the forest by dusk at the latest to not disturb the rhythm of nocturnal animals.

Safety information
Our bike routes often run along paths shared with others. We therefore ask for considerate and friendly behavior at all times. Winemakers, farmers, and foresters use the service roads through fields, forests, and vineyards for their daily work (including weekends) and always have priority. Due to work operations and/or weather conditions, these paths can sometimes be more soiled. Special care is also required when riding on the (mostly quiet and little-trafficked) roads in and around the Palatinate towns.
