Stadt Rees
On this route, you cycle from Rees on the Rhine cycle path towards Wesel. Along the way, you pass the districts of Haffen and Mehr before reaching Bislich to cross to Xanten by ferry "Keer Tröch II". From the Xanten landing stage, you have the opportunity to make a detour to the historic town centre of Xanten, which is about 3 km away. The cycling route continues from the landing stage past the Xanten South and North Seas, which are considered a paradise for water sports, swimming fun, entertainment, and relaxation. Finally, the ferry ‘Rääße Pöntje’ takes you back to Rees.
Attention: This route is only possible in connection with the ferries ‘Rääße Pöntje’ and ‘Keer Tröch II’. The ferry season begins on Palm Sunday (Sunday before Easter) and ends on the last Sunday in October. During this time, the ferries operate on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. More information about the ferries is available at www.niederrheinfaehre.de and www.bislich.de.
