Rottauensee Route

Start at the sign Parking Artrium Guest Information.

Turn left into the street in front of the parking lot (Brunnaderstraße).

After 300 m, turn left onto Kurallee towards Schwaibach Bahnhof Leithen and keep right at the main entrance of Vitarium.

Km 1.3        At the end of Badstraße after the underpass, turn right at the intersection, after a short ride on the street before the junction with the federal road, turn left onto the Rottal bike path, bike path Eggenfelden Pfarrkirchen.

Km 6.2        In the center of Brombach, follow the signs for the Rottal bike path, sports field. Cross the Rott bridge and shortly after turn right onto the Rottal bike path.

Km 11.7      In the district town of Pfarrkirchen, follow the signs for the Rottal bike path through Pfarrkirchen, keeping right.

Km 13.3      Cross the street diagonally left and follow the street course.

Km 14.0      Pfarrkirchen outdoor pool. Cross the intersection straight ahead, continue following the signs for the Rottal bike path, bike path Eggenfelden Massing.

Km 16.2      The bike path ends at the Rott bridge in Postmünster, continue to the right and shortly after turn left onto the Rottal bike path, bike path Eggenfelden Massing. Alternative: Turn left over the Rott bridge and follow the bike path downstream to Pfarrkirchen and back to the starting point.

Km 17.4      At the dam of Rottauensee Postmünster, continue straight on the bike path.

Km 19.4      Turn left onto the gravel road. Continue straight towards the wildlife enclosure over the Rott bridge.

Km 19.8      Turn left at the junction (protected grassland breeding area). !!!The path passes through some barriers and is not passable during high water!!

Km 21.3      At the boat dock, turn left and follow the flat path around the lake.

Km 21.9      The path narrows at the end and leads up to the dam. The path ends at a parking lot. Drive through the parking lot, shortly right and immediately left onto the bike path slightly downhill.

Km 22.5      After passing the mini-golf course and sports field Postmünster, the bike path ends at an intersection. Cross the street straight ahead and follow the bike path along the Rott.

Km 24.5      The bike path ends at the outdoor pool in Pfarrkirchen at a street. Follow the street to the left, past the outdoor pool over the Rott bridge, after the bridge turn right following the signs for the Rottal bike path back to Bad Birnbach Parking Artrium.
