The Reno Cycle Path is a cycle route that stretches along the embankment of the Reno River, crossing the colorful and peaceful plains of Bologna.
This recently inaugurated, completely flat cycle route starts from the center of Bologna and runs, on an elevated position, along the Reno River to the locality of San Vincenzo di Galliera, for a total of 50 km. Despite the length, it is suitable for cyclists of all levels. In the future, the cycle path is planned to be extended through the provinces of Ferrara and Ravenna and all the way to the sea. Along the Reno Cycle Path, you can discover places of great historical-cultural interest, including country villas and picturesque villages, as well as natural sites, such as some floodplains and the ecological rebalancing area La Bisana in Galliera.
