Start and finish Friedburg. Approach along the Schwemmbach to Schneegattern, continuing over Höcken and Hocheck on the Kobernaußerwald state road to Steiglberg. Further over Stelzen and Kobernaußen. After Kobernaußen, turn right towards Waldzell until Höschmühl. Here on the main road, turn right towards Frankenmarkt. Over Dundeck and Schratteneck up to the highest point above the Redltal. Now downhill into the Redltal via Redleiten to Grubleitenpoint. Then continue over Saxigen and uphill to Adligen. Then continue uphill through the forest and downhill. Uphill again to Bergham via Pöndorf. We stay above Pöndorf and keep right on the ridge before descending through the forest into the hollow below Forstern. Now uphill to Forstern and further up to the highest point in the forest, the "Hohe Buche" (viewpoint). From there, descent again to Höcken. Briefly back on the Kobernaußerwald state road and after crossing the Schwemmbach, left along the stream back on the same route as the approach to Friedburg.
