RadlRoas - Miesbach

We leave Miesbach via Münchner Straße and cycle along the bike path next to B472 towards Irschenberg. Shortly after Potzenberg, we cross the B472 and turn right onto the country road. We follow the path to Ahrein and turn left onto the St2077, but only ride a short distance there until we reach the bike path. We cycle to Buchbichl and reach our first destination: the Bio-Hofkäserei Obermooser. Here we get insights into artisanal cheese production and the operation of the Grundbacher family. Afterwards, there is a cheese tasting and shopping opportunities at the farm shop. 

From Buchbichl, we continue along the bike path towards Wendling, but then turn left to follow the Moosbach stream, cross the Leitzach via a bridge, and arrive at Auerschmied. Then comes an ascent and the route continues to go up and down until we reach Kleinpienzenau. Here, we turn left towards Rieder and reach the second destination: the market garden of Jana Heenen at Riedlerhof. Jana gives us an introduction to the concept of community-supported agriculture (SoLaWi) and vegetable cultivation according to Demeter guidelines. Her farm also hosts the organic apiary of Helge Straßer, so we also gain insights into ecological beekeeping and the production of various types of honey from beekeeper Helge Straßer on site. 

Afterwards, there is a joint break before we start the return trip. From Riedler, we ride to Marksteiner, return to the bike path at Potzenberg, which we started on, and cycle back to Miesbach, where the day may conclude together at Lavli!
