A relaxed circular tour from Belzig to Rabenstein Castle awaits us. We cycle through forests, past meadows and fields and through several villages typical of the region. From the castle we have a beautiful view over the landscape of the High Flushing.

In the historic old town of Belzig we find the cross-shaped Marienkirche, the town hall (1) from the 16th century, the house where Carl Gottlieb Reiß was born and much more. On the Fläming Weg we cycle along the edge of the forest to Bergholz. Via Grubo we reach Raben. Nature lovers should definitely visit the „Old Distillery“ (2). There you will find the nature park centre Hoher Fläming, with everything worth knowing about the region, an exhibition and the Fläming shop with typical regional products. The ascent to Rabenstein Castle (3) is unfortunately not possible by bike. Therefore, it is best to leave our bikes at the old distillery. To get to the castle, we have to climb the 150-metre-high castle hill. Once we reach the cobbled courtyard, we feel like we have been transported back in time. The medieval castle was built 750 years ago largely of fieldstone. Many parts of the castle were only built in the 18th and 19th centuries. If we climb the keep of the castle and look out of the window, we have a wide view over the oak and beech woods of the high Flaming and the village of Raben. The castle was renovated as a youth hostel in the 1950s. Various festivities are celebrated here at the appropriate time of year. In spring there is a jugglers' festival, at Easter the knights' games, in autumn there is a cultural market and in winter the nostalgic Christmas market on Advent weekends. Once we have spent enough time at the castle, we set off again by bike to Rädigke. We cycle through the village and pass Buchholz, Kranepuhl and Preussnitz through woods and meadows. From here we follow Niemegker Strasse, which takes us back towards the centre of Belzig. We turn left at the railway tracks and arrive at our destination, the railway station.
