The circular route “On the Tracks of the Pfefferminzbähnel” runs for the most part along the former railway track between Harthausen and Geinsheim. The cycle path also passes the former station buildings of Schwegenheim, Weingarten, Freisbach, Gommersheim, and Geinsheim, which still exist today and serve as residential houses.

The starting point of the circular route is Bahnhofstraße 57 in Schwegenheim, at the former Schwegenheim station. From here, you cycle towards the town center and turn right after a few meters towards Weingarten. On the former railway track, you follow the “Kraut- und Rübenradweg” to Weingarten. At the entrance of Weingarten, opposite the former Weingarten station (Bahnhofstraße 18), turn right into the street “Im Wirthsgarten.”
After 300 m, you reach the country road to Freisbach. The cycle path alongside the country road leads you to Freisbach. Along the way, you pass the remains of the Gäubahn viaduct. In Freisbach, you reach the main street via Jahnstraße. The former, still original, Freisbach station building stands directly at the junction of Jahn and Hauptstraße.
From here, you follow the Kraut- und Rüben Radweg again up to the L 530 at the entrance to Gommersheim. Here you turn right towards the town center. Shortly before the cemetery, the former Gommersheim station is on the left. You continue along Kirchstraße towards Geinsheim.
After entering Geinsheim, turn left and cycle through the streets “Am Hägsfeld” and “Dompropst-Stahler Straße” until you reach Böbinger Straße, where you turn right back into the town center. Already at the town’s entrance, you see the typical Pfefferminzbähnel station building of Geinsheim. In Geinsheim, you follow the cycle route signs to “Speyer.” It initially goes through Gäustraße in Geinsheim to the federal highway B 39, from where a marked cycle path runs along B 39, past the Aumühle excursion restaurant, to Hahnhofen.
In Hahnhofen, you cycle through Ingelheimer Straße, Raiffeisenstraße, Alte Landstraße, and Harthauser Straße to Harthausen. 300 m after the start of Harthausen, turn left into Freisbacher Weg. You pass the Palatinate forest hut and continue on the paved path turning left to the sports field. This path takes you through the forest to Schwegenheim. Along the way, you cross the former Gäubahn railway track (information sign). After entering Schwegenheim, turn right into Kleinfeldstraße, which meets Bahnhofstraße after 200 m, the starting point of the route.
