The Niedtal Cycle Route connects the towns of Rehlingen on the Saar Cycle Route and Hemmersdorf on the Saarland Cycle Route. This creates a very beautiful circular route heading south through the Saargau, the Warndt forest, and along the Saar via Völklingen and Saarlouis back to Rehlingen. In the direction of France, the journey can be extended to Bouzonville. The Niedtal section is considered one of the most beautiful cycling routes in Saarland. Idyllic valley meadows invite you to rest in nature. Along the way, there are old mills and pretty Lorraine farmhouses. Depending on the season and water level, it is also possible to paddle on the river. From the tower of Siersburg, there is a beautiful view of the Saar and Nied valleys. In Niedaltdorf, the 7,000-year-old dripstone caves can be visited.
