MYTH CYCLE PATH - Maranello/Modena
Under the banner of the "prancing horse" that connects the Modena and Maranello museums dedicated to Ferrari. The cycle path is fully signposted on paved bike lanes.
Given the short length, take the time to visit the historic center of Modena with its Romanesque Cathedral and the Ducal Palace, home of the Military Academy. Also make a short detour to Formigine towards the beautiful medieval castle (Rocca Calcagnini, in the center only 700 meters from the cycle path, with its tower, keep, drawbridge, donjon and battlemented curtain wall) and the Villa Gandini-Agazzotti surrounded by the Parco della Resistenza: a green area of 10 hectares with small lakes and tall trees among which stand out two monumental Ginkgo Biloba trees.

Roadbook
The start is at the entrance of the Ferrari Museum Gallery, an exhibition space created to preserve the myth of the "prancing horse" in the land where this world-famous legend was born and developed.
We then follow the first of the many signposted arrows dedicated to the "Myth Cycle Path". The entire route will be on dedicated cycle paths, paved and fully signposted; it will therefore be simple even for those less equipped with a sense of direction or GPS to complete the itinerary safely. The first part of the cycle path has a red surface, it passes in front of the historic entrance to the Ferrari factory and leads onto "Via Giardini" which is followed northwards, crossing the overpass on the Provincial Road to Scandiano with a beautiful view of the circuit-track where the "Reds" test. After coming off the overpass, you leave "Via Giardini" and turn left onto the new cycle path built with three lanes (two for cyclists, one for each direction, and a third for pedestrians). Upon reaching the roundabout on "Via Canaletto" (Km 2) you turn right here, reaching the intersection with "Via Viazza primo tronco". Right again until the roundabout on "Via Giardini" in Ubersetto (Km 3 - 15 min). We cross to the opposite side of the busy road guided by the metal arrows ("Modena"). Shortly after, we return to the western side of Giardini, pass the roundabout on "Via Quattropassi" (Km 4.6) and continue approaching the town of Formigine. At the junction with "Via J. Barozzi" (Km 5.6) keep right and 150 meters ahead turn left, skirting the entire park of Villa Gandini-Agazzotti. At the end of the green area is an informational panel with the route and sights along the Myth Cycle Path. Optional detour to visit the center of Formigine. On the left just 700 meters away is the medieval castle: Rocca Calcagnini with its tower, keep, drawbridge, donjon and battlemented curtain wall. At the junction with "Via S. Antonio" (Km 6.2 - 30 min) keep right and shortly after turn left onto "Via Monsignor G. Cavazzuti", which continues as "Via S. Onofrio", makes a left curve ("Viale della Resistenza") and leads to the entrance of the beautiful cycle path that runs alongside the Cerca stream and through open countryside leads to the outskirts of Casinalbo where it joins "Via Erri Billò" (Km 8.6 - 40 min). Straight ahead on this road which after passing "Bassa Paolucci" becomes "Via Bergamo" and then "Via Vedriani". Thus, it reaches the intersection with "Stradello Turchetto" (Km 10.1) and continues straight alongside the Modena-Sassuolo railway, crossing at the level crossing of "Via Martiniana" (Km 10.7 - 50 min). Our itinerary continues next to the Civil Hospital of Baggiovara reaching the roundabout with "Via Giardini" (Km 11.1). Turning right begins the approach to Modena: at kilometer 13.5 it passes under the Einaudi Complanare and the A1 motorway, crosses the wooden bridge over the Cerca stream and turns onto "Via Stradella" which ends at the traffic light on "Via Contrada" (Km 13.8 - 1:05 hours). At the junction turn right, cross the pedestrian crossing and then turn left to return beside Giardini, which is followed until just before the city center. After the junctions with "Via Panni" (Km 15.2) and "Viale Amendola" (Km 16) we reach the traffic lights of "Via Gaddi and Via della Pace" (Km 17.1 - 1:25 hours) which are used to cross to the opposite side of Giardini. Continue straight until close to the old city walls: "Via Calle di Luca-Piazzale Risorgimento" (Km 17.8). Here keep right and follow in succession "Viale delle Rimembranze" and "Viale Martiri della Libertà", both tree-lined, reaching the intersection with "Via Emilia"(Km 18.8). Recommended detour to the left to visit the city center: the UNESCO site (Piazza Grande, the Cathedral, the Ghirlandina tower) and the Ducal Palace are just a few hundred meters away.
Almost at the end of the ride: straight on the cycle path of "Viale Caduti in Guerra" and after 500 meters at the traffic light cross to the opposite side and shortly after turn right onto "Via Ricci" and then almost immediately left onto "Via V. Reiter".
Cross "Via Piave" and arrive at "Via P. Ferrari" where you turn left reaching the entrance of the Museum inaugurated in 2012 and dedicated to the life and work of Enzo Ferrari, founder of the world-famous car manufacturer (Km 20 - 1:40 hours).
