Safety information
The purely technical requirements aren't very high, but there are numerous climbs and descents. Some of them are also very steep. You'll need to be in very good physical condition (stamina, strength) or ride an e-bike.Tips and suggestions
The route has very little traffic and runs mostly along side roads. To avoid having to constantly pull out a map and to make good time, we highly recommend using a GPS device or similar.

Public transport
Public-transport-friendly
Since the starting point and destination are quite far apart, it makes a lot of sense to leave your car at home and take the train both to and from your destination. The best way to do this is as follows:1.) Take the train to Passau Central Station, then ride along the Bavarian bank of the Danube to Obernzell, then via Diendorf and Gottsdorf to Neustift im Mühlkreis (approx. 31 km). Ideal for “warming up” on your bike.
2.) Return trip from the Sankt Nikola-Struden train station, which is only a few kilometers from the tour’s endpoint along the Danube Cycle Path.
Directions
The best way to get there by car is from the town of Kramesau, located a few kilometers away on the banks of the Danube.Parking
There are plenty of free parking spaces available near the church in Neustift im Mühlkreis.Coordinates
Equipment
Standard cycling gear, including a helmet, a first-aid kit, a spare inner tube, and other repair tools. A warm jacket never hurts in the Mühlviertel.Localization
