    Roadbook

Your 29-kilometer circular route to the monuments of the municipality of Büchen begins in Büchen Dorf. Here you will also find the Priesterkate cultural center. The building is the oldest listed agricultural building in the Duchy of Lauenburg. Continue your way northward to Siebeneichen. The only ferry of the Elbe-Lübeck Canal takes you to the other side of the water.

In Roseburg and Pötrau, you will encounter two old water mills. The town of Büchen is an important railway junction: the former railway workers' settlement "Quellental" has been protected as a monument area since the late 1990s. Before you reach your starting point again, the Dückerschleuse lock built in 1789 in Witzeeze awaits your visit. The restored sluice lock is the oldest technical monument of the early Stecknitz navigation.
