We start at the P&R in Meitingen heading towards Augsburg. A magnificent city that is crossed by the Lech on many canals. A ride through the city center is definitely worth it. As a whitewater canoeist, I take a closer look at the Eiskanal, the former Olympic whitewater course. No one could tell me why the Lech and, parallel to it, the Lech Canal exist for over 15km in length. Further south, the Lech is also straightened with many weirs. It becomes clear that the Lech was a wild river and today is largely tamed.

Very fast and without changing trains if the railway is not striking or an IC has priority. One-way trip 9€. We try to pass large cities like Augsburg but also Ingolstadt, Regensburg by bike. The station is often cramped and stressful; there is little space for bikes and cars (for loading).Parking
At every station, large P&R lots.Coordinates
