Lorient Park

The Lorient departmental park welcomes the public on 17 hectares of natural space for discovery and relaxation. Forest, lawns, river, picnic areas, walking paths... A real island of nature, the park is home to some 151 plant species, 37 species of birds, butterflies, dragonflies and numerous mammals. On the south side, the Véore river offers a haven of peace and freshness to walkers. To promote the biodiversity of the site, the Department of the Drôme carries out a reasoned and sustainable management of the different areas of the park, without chemical weed killers. Owner of the estate since 1967, the Department welcomes the public, monitors and manages the park on a daily basis as part of its policy in favour of sensitive natural areas.
