A magnificent route through marshes, countryside and vineyards, ideal to discover the AOC Fiefs Vendéens wine estates, and the Mulnière farm, an old fortified house known for its pattée cross. Halfway, stop at the village of La Gachère; this old port was active until the 16th century. Today the port no longer exists, but the fishing village is preserved with its typical narrow streets and low whitewashed houses.
You will discover exceptional heritage and terroir: - Romanesque church of Saint Nicolas and its old district: former feudal mound (viewpoint) - Lower part of St Nicolas: Vallée de l'Ecours, picnic area and small fitness trail - Genêts Park - Village of La Gachère (former port on the Auzance estuary) and its marshes - Menhir of La Crulière and the Vigie - Vineyard "AOC Fiefs Vendéens Brem" (cellars open to the public) - The hut in the Chabossière marshes

Green No. 4Roadbook
1
Possible departure from the Tourist Office
Follow the green bike signage No. 4 which leads you into the town center via the D38 (unless you are with children, the rue du champ prieur is recommended for more safety). Arrival in the St Nicolas district.
2
St Nicolas Church of Brem
Dismount and take time to visit the interior of the charming Romanesque abbey dating from the 11th century. Open all year round, accessed through the small door on the side! Via the tumulus path, climb to the feudal mound then descend to the Vallée de l'Ecours, then ascend via rue de la Pierre levée. Get back on your bike to rue du prieuré then turn left on rue de la Chaize, straight on until crossing D40.
3
La Mignotière
Arrival in the wine-growing district of La Mignotière, the winemakers gladly open their doors for tastings of their vintages. Enjoy these dirt paths right in the vineyard!
4
The Vigie
Stop on your right at the Vigie, then about 200 meters further stop to admire the panoramic view (highest point of Brem at 50 meters above sea level): spot the bell tower of St Martin church with the sea behind and the Olonne forest in the far left background.
5
The menhir of La Crulière
Continue along the dirt path to the menhir of La Crulière, visible on your left. Go to the D54 to cross, then straight ahead to the charming village of La Corde.
6
Chemin de la Chabossière
The path through Champ du marais then after crossing D38, continue towards chemin de la Chabossière. A short stop in the marshes to enjoy oysters accompanied by a white wine from Brem?
7
The village of La Gachère
Otherwise continue to cross D80, to arrive in the superb typical fishermen's district of La Gachère! Stroll through the lanes, go to the small bridge to admire the small boats on the Auzance and the marshes.
8
Return to the Tourist Office
Rue des Gabelous (Dunes beach 2 is 500 meters to the left) then rue du Brandais to climb back up (and it really is a steep climb!) to the Tourist Office.
