Route description:

The starting point of this circular route is the Weidenthal stop. On the first section of the bike path through the busy Hochspeyer valley, the bike path, where you cycle towards Frankenstein, runs parallel to the federal road 39. After about 1.5 km, you turn left into the Leinbach valley. The initially asphalted, later gravelled bike path runs almost flat directly next to the romantic Leinbach to Waldleiningen. Shortly before Waldleiningen, turn left onto a small asphalt road towards "Waldhaus Schwarzsohl." The path climbs steeply over the next two kilometers, overcoming almost 200 meters in elevation. Once on the high road, you cycle on a gravel path to the Weidenthal – Elmstein road. Here you cycle towards Weidenthal and reach the Naturfreundehaus Schwarzsohl after about 500 m. Behind the forest house, it goes steeply downhill, and after about 6 km, you arrive back at the starting point of the circular route in Weidenthal.
