From the parking lot, ride on the main road through Petersthal to the Bisseroy junction. Now slightly uphill on a wide gravel path through a meadow valley to Schwarzenbergerweiher. Follow the bike path along the lake to Sticher Weiher. Continue following the signs to Maria Rain. At the pilgrimage church, the path leads steeply down (16% gradient) to the bridge over the Wertach. After the bridge, turn left and follow the Wertach a short distance to the fork leading up towards Schneidbach. Here it goes steeply uphill. At the top of the forest edge, keep left and follow the path towards the highway and the field cross to Hirschbühl. Cycle via Schönewald and Schönewalder Weiher to Rückholz. Here, keep left on the bike path to shortly after turn into Frühlingsstraße and ride to Otten. After the village, take the right turn to Trollen, Trollweiher, and Luitmooser Weiher. Well signposted, continue to Schwaltenweiher and over Goldhasen past Neuweiher to Dederles and Attlesee. Afterwards, pass Kögelweiher and cycle to Nesselwang. From Nesselwang, uphill via the old path and over the bike path to Gschwend. On a narrow side road now descend to Wertach (Wertacher Mühle) and cross the approximately 300-year-old stone bridge over the Wertach (the original construction of today's bridge was in 1726. Here ran the former "Rennweg" (horse riding path), which was very important in the Middle Ages for salt trade). Then uphill again to Dohle and Faistenoy. Here follow the bicycle signs to the train station. Pass it and go up to Mittelberg. At the entrance to the town, turn left into Mühlbachstr., follow this down into the valley and before the bridge over the Oyer Bach keep right (marked only as a hiking trail Burgkranzegg/Binzen). Follow this until the path turns right to Burgkranzegg. First wide, later it becomes a trail and leads onto the driveway to Burgkranzegg ruin. From here, it goes asphalted down to the starting point with a wonderful view of Rottachsee.
