Lenzfried – Rößlings – Betzenried – Dengelstein – Görisried – Beilstein – Möstenberg – Wildpoldsried – Bockarten – Leupolz – Lenzfried
You start this tour at the sports field in Lenzfried on Wettmannsberger Weg, heading south towards Lenzfrieder Straße and turning left towards Leupolz. You cross the A7 motorway. Shortly after the bridge, keep sharply to the right and ride a short stretch on a gravel path parallel to the A7. At the railway line, you go under the motorway, cycle left over the railway, and continue straight along the A7 until you pass under it again at Rößlings at the Betzigau motorway exit. You then follow the white-green cycle path signage No. 27 Kempten Forest Circuit. The relaxed ride continues to Betzenried. Here, keep left towards Dengelstein and Denkelsteinmoos. On the moderate ascent, enjoy the view of the mountains. At the fork, you might take a short detour to the Dengelstein, an impressive boulder.
Back on the path, keep left towards Görisried. A refreshment opportunity a few meters off the route is the forest inn Zum Tobias, located on the right at the fork. You continue to follow sign No. 27 and stay on the marked trail. The forest becomes denser and only clears as you reach the country road towards Görisried, which you follow left for a short distance. Finally, you follow the left turning cycle path to Beilstein, which initially leads you back into the forest. Turning right twice, you then pass through open hilly country in a wide arc. To the left is the Mehlblockalpe, a popular refreshment spot among local cyclists. Before Görisried, turn left uphill to Beilstein, passing the Beilsteinalpe, and continue westwards uphill again to Notzen and Hauptmannsgreut with the ridge Hohe Schulter. A short detour to the Notzenweiher is worthwhile. The challenging climb to Hohe Schulter is rewarded with a wonderful view.
Back on the path, continue west to Möstenberg, pass the town of the same name, and at the fork turn right towards Wildpoldsried. The route leads through a light forest, initially slightly undulating, then downhill. After crossing under federal road B12, keep left at Wolkenberger Mill and finally reach Wildpoldsried. You arrive at Kemptener Straße and follow it turning right northwards until you turn left onto Salzstraße. Leave the roundabout at the third exit and reach the road Am Hungersberg, which runs along the railway and past the sports hall, swimming pond, and recycling center into a field path – tip: “WiWaLaMoor” – Wildpoldsried water landscapes in the moor.
Continue east along the Leubas. At Betzigauer Bach, cross the Leubas turning right and overcome a small ascent. Then turn left, through Wuhr and over Bockarten to Hochstraße. There, turn into Leupolzer Straße and cycle south, crossing federal road B12 to Leupolz. At the town exit, meet Lenzfrieder Straße, which you follow right. At Wettmannsberger Weg, keep right again and return to your starting point, the sports field in Lenzfried.
