Jaroslavice – Práče

In the village of Jaroslavice, where our trip begins, we can admire a monumental chateau (not accessible to the public), built in the 16th century on the site of the original castle from 1266. There is also the Church of St. George from the late 18th century, which was historically connected to the chateau by a covered classical staircase. We will set off along EuroVelo 13 to Hrádek, where we will not miss a visit to the Romanesque rotunda of St. Oldřich, a remnant of an 11th-century castle. We continue from the village of Dyjákovice with the Church of St. Michael the Archangel from the mid-18th century. Here we join the cycle route Po rovince, which leads to Velký Karlov. Here we turn left and follow the cycle route Mezi poli a vinohrady towards Božice, where you can visit a saltwater swimming pool. Our next ride will be accompanied by the Znojmo cycle route passing through Borotice to Lechovice. Here stands a chateau from 1740 that underwent modifications in 1824 into a three-winged classical chateau with a colonnade. An English natural park extends around it. It is open to the public along with the winery, which is located in the chateau. Then we head to the village of Práče. From here we take an unmarked path towards Hodonice, cross the main road, and follow a field path to the mentioned Hodonice. Here stands the Church of St. James the Greater with a Romanesque core from the first half of the 13th century. Following Tasovická street, we reach Tasovice, where we take cycle route no. 5007 to Načeratic and the village of Vrbovec. Here, beyond the bridge, we continue straight on unmarked paths until we meet the green hiking trail. We follow it straight through the Lampelberk crossroads (Jehněcí kopec or also Ovčí vrch) to the crossroads Náměstí Přátelství at the state border. Here we turn left and return to Jaroslavice via EuroVelo 13.
