UNDER THE SIGN OF THE APPLE A crisp red apple with a surrounding green arrow is the uniform marking sign of the Apfelwein and Orchard Meadow routes. The routes are currently marked in nature and mostly run on cycle paths, field paths or lightly trafficked secondary roads. Wherever main roads must be used, the routes run on separate roadside cycle paths. Signposts at all junctions reliably inform about changes in direction, stages and intermediate destinations as well as distances. In spring, when white and pink blossom dreams decorate the tender green slopes. In summer, when they look like green umbrellas.
