Hartheim Castle and Scharten, Eferding Basin

ARRIVAL: From the parking lot of the Straßham train station (285 m) to the street and soon turn left (sign Innbachrunde or Hartheim). The street ends and on the path (no entry for vehicles) over a small bridge (260 m) and to the paved road, which we follow to the right. We pass Annaberg and reach Hartheim, where we keep slightly right and ride through a gate to Hartheim Castle. A bit through the park on the gravel path south (left) and to the paved road. Now right to Weidach, then left to Polsing and leave the R18 left at the fire station. We pass a farm (310 m) and ride right through the forest to Spitzwirt 401 m. In the forest to the high point 440 m and then down to Mistelbacher state road (430 m), where we turn right and reach Unterscharten (375 m). Uphill again and up to Scharten (398 m).  13.4 km, 280 m ascent and 1 hour riding time.

DEPARTURE: In Scharten, left past the church and left again to the "Beautiful View" at 440 m. Back to the road and again to Unterscharten 375 m, where we now turn left to Rexham. At about 319 m, right on the Cherry Blossom Path to Fierlingerhof and then on gravel road to the transmitter 415 m. Over the ridge (425 m), keeping right to a house and to the gravel path. We are again on the Cherry Blossom Path. At the sign, turn left and go to Erdpresser Farm (355 m), where the asphalt begins. Past ponds, to the GH Reif and onto the plain to the street. Now straight to Polsing, where we had turned off (278 m) and to Weidacher Straße. In Weidach keep left and to the church in Alkoven, then right to Hartheim Castle (269 m), where we turn left on the access road via Annaberg back to Straßham. On the main road, briefly right and at the fork up to the railway line and right to the station 285 m. Another 17.3 km, 145 m ascent and 1 1/4 hours riding time.

Total: 30.7 km, 425 m ascent and 2 1/4 hours riding time.
