Harbor route
The harbor route is about 38 kilometers long and leads from Burgstaaken via Neue Tiefe and Burgtiefe, past Meeschendorfer Strand, Staberdorf, Katharinenhof, and the Gahlendorfer Strand, over Klausdorf, the Presener Dike, Marienleuchte, Presen, Klausdorf, Niendorf, and Burg back to Burgstaaken.
In Katharinenhof, a visit to the museum is worthwhile, which regularly holds medieval markets in summer. From the Presener Dike, you can ride along the asphalted deck on the outside. Via Marienleuchte, where remains of the Slavic "Ohlenburg" can still be discovered nearby, you reach Puttgarden. In a wide arc, the route then leads through the villages Presen, Klausdorf, and Niendorf to Burg, the economic and cultural center of the island, where the old town with numerous shops and restaurants invites you to linger.
