Your approx. 44 km circular route along the former inner-German border begins in Büchen-Dorf.
Your approx. 44 km circular route along the former inner-German border begins in Büchen-Dorf. Experience German history and pure nature. The start is at the Priesterkate from 1649. The cultural centre with an exhibition on the former inner-German border is the oldest dated agricultural building under monument protection in the Herzogtum Lauenburg.
We recommend a detour to the Gartenschläger-Eck: In 1976, Michael Gartenschläger was shot here when he attempted for the third time to dismantle a self-firing device of the SM 70 type at the border fence.
