Roadbook
The tour leads mainly along well-maintained cycle paths and farm tracks. Between Putlitz and Stepenitz there are also forest paths and side roads with little traffic.
Our tour starts in Wittenberge. From there we cycle via Weisen to Perleberg, where we can take a tour of the historic town center. We then continue via Lübzow and Kreuzburg to Seddin. Very close to the village is the famous royal tomb of Seddin, which is of supra-regional importance due to its dimensions and inventory. The burial mound has a diameter of almost 64 m and is 10 m high. It dates back to the Late Bronze Age (approx. 800 BC). In addition to numerous precious grave goods, the two iron needles are particularly worth mentioning, as these are the oldest finds of iron in northern Germany. From Seddin we travel via Wolfshagen, Helle, Lockstädt and Mansfeld to Putlitz. There we can visit Philippshof Castle, the castle ruins with keep and the town church. We then cycle through the villages of Nettelbeck and Porep to Marienfließ, where the Cistercian monastery is well worth a visit. We continue via Krempendorf to Meyenburg. Here we should not miss the Meyenburg Castle. Via Wendisch Priborn we finally reach Tönchow, our final destination.
