From Eberbach, the route follows the picturesque Neckar Valley, first passing Neckarzimmern with the castle of Götz von Berlichingen, famous for his saying. From there, we continue through Haßmersheim, Wimpfen am Berg, Bad Friedrichshall, and Neckarsulm to Heilbronn. From Heilbronn, the route leads along the northern foothills of the Heuchelberg through Böckingen along the Lein Valley to Schwaigern and Gemmingen, ending the stage in Eppingen. The district town is a hospitable and charming city. Its more than 1000-year history is reflected in the beautiful half-timbered houses. Around the Pfeifferturm, splendid and carefully restored Alemannic and Franconian half-timbered houses cluster. On your own, you can explore the magnificent houses on the historic town walk. The gastronomy, with its numerous outdoor dining options, strives to ensure our personal well-being with comfortable accommodations, a rich range of culinary delights, and local beer and wine.

The stage starts in the romantic half-timbered town of Eberbach. From there, it goes towards Mosbach/Neckarelz. At the town entrance, the cycle path is particularly charming as it runs directly along the Elz river. Afterwards, we cycle along the Neckar to Hochhausen. Just beyond the town, the Half-Timbered Road leads over a somewhat more demanding but short ascent. However, the subsequent downhill ride immediately compensates.

Next, the route continues towards Haßmersheim, passing Hornberg Castle. Once one of the largest inland shipping hubs in southwest Germany, Haßmersheim was an important starting point for Neckar shipping, which from here continued to the Rhine. Upon arrival in Neckarmühlbach, a visit to the Staufer fortress Guttenberg is recommended. In addition to the medieval castle with its museum, the bird of prey show is also worth seeing.

On the cycle path towards Gundelsheim, there is a spot with two benches where we can enjoy the view of Horneck Castle and Guttenberg Castle. On the way to Heinsheim, we pass Ehrenberg Castle. In Bad Wimpfen, there is a brine bath offering a refreshing break. The wonderful viewpoints and cozy small cafés are best discovered on foot. A nearby rest area offers a view of Bad Friedrichshall above the Neckar.

From Untereisesheim, the route leads to the area around Heilbronn, also called the "Swabian Tuscany." Situated amid vineyards, the city impresses with its diversity. The route now leaves the Neckar and continues along the Lein river. Following the route, we arrive at the Eichbott lakes. We continue to Schwaigern, where the Lein Valley Zoo or the outdoor pool invite a stopover. Through Gemmingen with its magnificent castle park, the route continues to Eppingen. The old town with its historic marketplace forms the conclusion of the stage.
