The circular route "Geiersberg" starts at the train station in Haguenau and leads through the Moder valley on cycle paths to Pfaffenhoffen. From there, it goes up to Geiersberg with a viewpoint and then via Dauendorf, Uhlingen, Ohlingen, and Winterhouse on low-traffic roads back to Haguenau.
Geiersberg is a 261 m high hill near the village of Dauenberg, southwest of Haguenau. In an exposed location, wooden benches and tables invite you to linger at the summit and offer a fantastic view which, in good visibility, stretches over the Hanauer Land and Hagenauer Forest up to the Black Forest. Between two old lindens, there is also a historic Napoleon bench, a small monument composed of four stone blocks.

The starting point of the route is at the train station in Haguenau. From the station, follow the bike path signs to Schweighouse through the underpass of the railway line into Rue de Moulin Neuf. At the level of the sports facilities, the bike path signage guides you left along the Moder towards Schweighouse. After crossing the D 85, continue along the Moder to Rue de la Gare (restaurant "Aux Berges de la Moder").
There, turn right onto the street-adjacent bike path. Ride on the bike path to the junction with Rue de la Zinsel (just after the railway crossing) and turn left towards Saverne. After 200 m, cross the tracks. First along the railway line, then after a left turn, the marked bike path leads along the Forestiere d’Uberach route to the D 227. After crossing the D 227, take a forest path on the other side of the road towards Uberach.
At the entrance to Uberach, the bike path signage leads you on a paved path to the Moder. Cycle along the Moder to Pfaffenhoffen.
At the end of Rue Rempart in the center of Pfaffenhoffen, leave the marked bike path to Saverne and ride on the opposite Rue du Faubourg towards Brumath. 300 m after leaving Pfaffenhoffen, turn left at a junction onto the D 110 to Dauendorf. From there, the route ascends steadily to the viewpoint on the Geiersberg. After a possible rest at the summit, cycle along the D 110 through Dauendorf and Uhlwiller to the junction with the D 241, where you turn left towards Ohlingen.
