Schlitz is not directly on the Fulda cycle path but is well worth a visit and suitable for overnight stays. From here, you ride to Hutzdorf and continue the route from there towards Queck on the Fulda cycle path. You pass small villages and at Niederaula you cycle through a wide meadow landscape. You repeatedly have contact with the Fulda river. Passing Schloss Eichhof, you approach Bad Hersfeld. You pass the Fulda lake and then cycle along busy roads on the outskirts. Soon, however, you return to quiet paths. Passing Bebra, you finally reach the romantic half-timbered town of Rotenburg. A stroll through the beautiful old town is worthwhile here. Numerous restaurants and cafes invite you to stop. The Fulda cycle path then continues to Altmorschen with the Haydau monastery. It is not far now to Binsförth. Here you can decide whether to cross the Fulda by bike cable car or follow the road to Beiseförth. If you take the cable ferry, be prepared to pedal hard. From Beiseförth, you quickly reach the stage destination in Malsfeld, where overnight accommodation is also available.
The route has no inclines and runs along low-traffic roads, farm roads, and cycle paths and is marked with the R! marking for the Fulda cycle path.
